B&W Consultants Ltd is a structural engineering consultancy based in South Gloucestershire but serving the UK.
We are particularly experienced in the survey and design of everything related to tall structures that form the backbone of the telecoms and broadcast industries.
We have a broad engineering skillset that covers a wider range of engineering including timber structures, foundations and general domestic renovations works.
One of our unique selling points (USP) is that we are advanced climbers who can access places other designers do not dare! All our surveyors are fully qualified to work at height safely and take all H&S very seriously.
Another USP of our company is that we have extensive time served experience in our specialist industries.
Our range of services cover site surveys, structural engineering solutions, detailed design drafting and digital fabrication of steel and timberworks using the latest 3D parametric modelling software to give the client an interactive fly-around view of their project before it is constructed.
From receipt of the initial client enquiry we discuss all aspects of the project with the client, and aim to advise on the feasibility of the project as each stage progresses. This can often help to mitigate wasted money on unnecessary or unachievable elements of the project.
We use the latest software to ensure efficient design and thorough detailing of parts to be manufactured.
We have non-linear FEA and frame analysis software, industry standard structural calculations proforma templates, MSTower for the analysis of towers and masts, Autodesk Inventor 3D parametric CAD software.
We also use concrete scanning surveying equipment for assessing existing concrete structures, and have partners in drone surveying for difficult to access and remote structures.
We are annually accredited and advised by CITATION on our health and safety procedures and are fully aware of our responsibilities under CDM Regulations 2015.
B&W Consultants Ltd was started in 2002 and have a core group of people who have been with the company for more than 12 yrs. Personnel experience within the telecoms industry dates back to 1995. Mainstream engineering experience dates back to 1970’s !
We serve some of the largest portfolio owners of lattice towers and masts.
Our work ranges from engineering domestic house extensions to external timber structures, structural condition assessments, tall mast stay replacement works, large broadcast antenna support structures, tower assessments and strengthening works.
